Gary A. Bingham
Birth date: June 11, 1956
Co-Owner & Operator of Complete Auto Repair Service (C.A.R.S.), which is an
auto repair shop with 5 full-time employees. Gary's partner at C.A.R.S. is Lenny
Hutchinson, who moved to North Carolina from Buffalo N.Y. He introduced Gary to
drag racing in 1978.
President of Bingham Motorsports Marketing. Gary is a racer in every fiber of
his body but he realizes that the marketing impact of the race car, tow vehicle
and trailer is too valuable to be left sitting idle when not on-track. He and
his wife, Renee, utilize that commodity to market products and services
nationwide. BMM is now teaching other racers how to do the same and are
providing portfolios, press kits, etc. for any racer who wishes to pursue the
marketing aspect on whatever level.
Gary drives the Doug Herbert Performance Parts 2001 Grand Am in the Top
Sportsman Class of IHRA.

Gary owns and drives the 2001 Grand Am built by Stroupe Race Cars of Kings
Mountain, N.C. The suspension and drive train components are by Strange
Engineering. Weld Wheels and Goodyear Tires put the horsepower to the ground.
The car is powered by a 632 ci engine with Dart Block and Heads. Engine
components in both motors include JE pistons, Child & Albert rods, bearings and
rings, ARP fasteners, Moroso oil pan and wires, Fel Pro gaskets, Accel spark
plugs, Griffin Radiator, Hedman Hedders and TCI rattler. Ron's Fuel Injection
and Speedtech Nitrous provide the fuel while Embee Coatings help increase horsepower
and keep the headers and intakes looking great and cool to the touch. The TCI
torque convertor, Lenco and Bruno Racing Transmisson finish out the drive train
components while MSD provides the electrical power. RJS seat belts and driver's
suit enhance the safety and looks of the operation.
